DryFly Distilling
Do you like fly fishing? Do you like Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, or Bourbon? Then you are gonna have to check out DryFly Distilling. It is Northwest fly fishing in a bottle! The distillery is located in Spokane, Washington and brings you delicious spirits using only locally grown ingredients. Check out their website for more info and where you can buy it.
The Trick of the Red Solo Cup
I learned something new today from a friend who sent me the following link from Gizmodo. The lines on the Red Solo cup match up extremely close to typical alcohol measurements. Although the lines aren’t officially backed by Solo it is pretty darn handy. Check out the above link for more on the story.
Apparently the Striper Fishing Is Pretty Good Right Now
Our good buddy Eliot Jenkins has been having some great Striper fishing lately. Check out his photos, videos, blog, and guiding website.
How Would You Like to Catch One of These
Here is a really cool find by some fisherman 30 miles off of Jervis Bay in New South Wales. For the full article Click Here.
Friday Fish Porn: Golden Dorado
This is a true do it yourself trip! It would be a pretty awesome adventure; I guess I should start saving my money.
The Big Sharks Like Being Near the Shore Too!
This footage was taken from a fishing boat that was only 200m off Bondi beach in Australia. I am glad that I don’t swim/surf anywhere near that beach. For more on the story Click Here.
Sorry For the Absence
Half the Tasty-Takes duo just made the long move from the beautiful coastal steelheading waters of Oregon to the gorgeous trout streams of Vermont. The move all together took a couple of weeks and unfortunately no fishing rods where brought in the car. We have some gear reviews that we will be posting in the next couple weeks and we will start the Do-It-Yourself Alaska backcountry float trip. Also, we know that more of you are heading out fishing, we would love to see those fish pics!!
