MASON COUNTY, Wash. – Forget swimming up stream: these salmon are swimming up street. Several intrepid salmon tried to swim across a flooded road in Mason County, Wash, on Tuesday morning. Skokomish Valley Road flooded during heavy rain on Tuesday. The road is near Shelton, Wash., in the southern Puget Sound area. Washington was pounded by the same storm that dumped more than two inches of rain on Oregon. Forecasters predict Tuesday and Wednesday could be the wettest two days Western Washington has seen in nearly four years. Source
