Taylor River Madness!

Mike Taylor River Bow
Not really. Well kind of I guess, I mainly just wanted to get everyone’s attention. Last weekend we spent both days on the Taylor. Saturday was abridged due to George having a mental breakdown. Not really. He just didn’t want to be in the pack anymore.

I know its blurry but the look on George's face was priceless!

But Sunday, Sunday was good! The Green Drakes were still bopping around and the fish were eating those and stoneflies with abandon. We got there fairly early so I started with a dry double dropper but when I saw the first drake bombing around I clipped the droppers and added a drake dry in a double dry rig. I figured if I had good action on the drake I would take of the stonefly and rock the single dry. Well two out of the next 4 fish I caught ate the stone so I just rolled with a size 8 to size 10 double dry fly rig. It was awesome.

On Sunday Aimee and George landed the fish of the day, a beautiful rainbow.

Aimee got into them too, she had good luck on zebra midges and copper johns, pretty standard fare for the Taylor. And the best part was that George had a blast on Sunday. Here he is chilling in his car seat during our picnic lunch!
